The End?

Hello y'all,

It has been some time since this blog has been updated and even longer since our last show. Now I am sad to have to report that Verbal Diarrhea is dead. Kat and me can't seem to continue the show at this point and we don't know if we ever will be, unfortunately.
Hopefully Verbal Diarrhea will be revived sooner or later (nothing is forever dead, just look at Zombies ;) ) and for anyone who might be interested in my next "solo" project have a look.

Bye for now and thanks for all your support. We Love You!!!
Hope to catch y'all soon somewhere on the net.

Review: The Fountain

Going away for a couple of weeks so I might not get to update the blog as regularly. Sorry about that. But my friend Matt's birthday is important to me and I miss Wellington so you can all curse me like you want - I dont care. Well actually I do care, but there is nothing I can do. Tickets are paid for and I'm looking forward to it.
The Great Barrier Reef would hate me if I didnt stop there before I leave for good for Germany so hardly any internet there either. Next time you hear from me I'm either on the road or already back home in Germany.
So as a treat I am posting my review on Darren Aronofsky's The Fountain, which (for me) is one of the best films I have ever seen. It is a highlight of the filmyear 2007 and should not be missed.
Talk to you soon and now enjoy.

Listener Review

Wowie, we have our first listener review and I'm absolutely delighted (no I have not taken any drugs - me swears) to post it here. Thanks
Sauresprutz. I hope everyone enjoys reading it. Keep the feedback coming. Just because there is no podcast at the moment doesnt mean Verbal Diarrhea is dead. ;)

The campaign is still going on. Help us infect the web with Verbal Diarrhea. And now go on and read Sauresprutz's review.

Have fun.

Review: Apocalypto

Hello everyone,

I hope you enjoyed my last review (The Queen). If not - then I'm sorry to report that here is another one - this time for Mel Gibson's Apocalypto.

When I posted this a couple of minutes ago I wanted to re-write it because of things some of my friends said last weekend. We had a movie weekend and one of my friends had seen Apocalypto even though she didn't want to. And I was quite interested to find out what she thought of the film.

Turns out she found it rather silly and ridiculous, which I have to say totally suprised me. Not because her and me usually like the same films, but because I could not understand what was ridiculous about this particular film. The things she said didn't make any real sense to me, but quite to my surprise I also couldn't come up with a really good defense for the film.

So I re-read my review trying to cleanse it of any exaggeration I had made about the film, but I couldn't find any. Re-reading it I absolutely agreed with what I had written earlier. So I guess what it all comes down to is a truth we all know, but sometimes forget - people like different things. What is absolutely brilliant for one can be utter BS for someone else. And yet both of them can find something that they totally agree on as well. Fascinating creatures - are we not?!

Review: The Queen

Like promised I'll post my reviews here. Instead of listening to it you can read it now. Unfortunately I'm no writer so it probably won't be nearly as entertaining as our Podcast. But bear with me - I might be getting better! (Hope is all we have). ;)

Enjoy and please leave comments here on the blog or email in.

Also don't forget to vote in our "sidebar poll" and let us know whether you want a forum.

BACK TO LIFE - well, sorta........

Hello everyone,

sorry for the long delay and I'm even more sorry to report that unfortunately it will continue since Kat has 11 jobs at the moment.
Don't worry, Verbal Diarrhea isn't dead - we just see it as a HIATUS! I will update the blog regularly from now on for all you guys who read it (sorry to everyone who doesn't) and post my reviews on here.

According to our polls you all want a weekly one-hour-show and we were really trying to do that but then real-life just came around and bit us in the ass. :( Don't worry, we are still trying to do the weekly one-hour-show whenever life returns to normal. Thanks to everyone who voted on our polls.

And speaking of polls - you all remember our "Fav Movies of the Year Poll"? I haven't forgotten and am happy to inform everyone that we have a winner. Little Miss Sunshine won easily with 7 votes, Hard Candy comes in second with 4, but has to share second place with Pirates of the Caribbean 2 - Dead Man's Chest.
Thanks for everyone who voted and I hope the results will spark some discussion ;)

Discussion - great word, great activity, anyone interested?
When I came up with the idea of Verbal Diarrhea (well I came up with the name, the idea has been out there for ages and others have been doing it for a while) I wanted to create an environment where people could discuss movies (and everything else) and chime in with the hosts (that would be us) and basically be part of the podcast. I was wondering whether you guys are interested in that. You can mail in, voicemail in (make your voice heard) or we could put up a forum if there is interest. Let me know so that Verbal Diarrhea is not just a fun place for Kat and me.

The end of one is always the beginning of another...........

Heya folks,

sorry for the long void of absolute nothingness here at Verbal Diarrhea. Our private lifes have made it difficult the last month to do new podcasts and with Xmas and the New Year we have been even busier.

Just wanted to let you all know that Verbal Diarrhea is not dead and that there will be new shows in the new year. Promise! ;)

And for now all I can do I will do and that is to wish all you great folks a belated MERRY XMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! and dont forget to be all bad and naughty until the New Year. What else are New Year Resolutions for?! :p
